Poster from 1971

According to QTED this concert was  - partly - arranged by Rik Evans of Penrose Marquees, who supplied the canvas that covered the walled garden where the bands played. He has pointed out to me that Brewers Droop was Mark Knopfler's band and so there were more than one soon-to-become-very-famous acts performing that day.

Rik also assisted Roger Taylors preQueen band perform at Trevellas Porth and Perranporth: two local beaches.

  1. There was another soon-to-become-very-famous act: Hawkwind's bass player was Lemmy Kilmister, soon to be known as Motörhead's lead singer.
